Local architecture

Cosesti belongs to the scattered category of village. It has a large number of small streets, with households and farms separated by gardens with fruit trees or corn fields.
A household is formed from personal home, yard, village garden and the piece of lucrative land.
The elements of a village household show not only the level of economy, but also the grade of popular culture. The households are pastoral-agricultural type, with unequal yard margins. The households have fences made from wood, and at the entrance a big uncovered gate.

Monuments

The wooden church from Jupanesti is a historical monument and a masterpiece of the church builders from Arges, with its very varied architectural decorations. It is situated in the lower part of the village, at 150 meters from the street and it was build by Necula Jupan Ramleanu, Popa Mihaila si Necula Grecu. The church was build in two stages : in the first stage, the church was build, and in the second the threshold with the bell.
In 1892, at 150 years from the foundation, the church was declared historical monument.

The church from Lupasani its situated at the border with the Ganesti village, Pietrosani commune. The church is situated in the north of the village and it was built by Iordache Bratianu, between 1775 and 1780. In form of a ship, it has a single octagonal steeple, with 2 small windows on every side. The church was restored in 1937, and in the present the priest Nicusor Vuta serves here.

The church from Petresti was build at the end of the 18th century, in the time of Constantin Ipsilanti. The church is a masterpiece of architecture and it was build in 1775. It has a typical shape of a ship, with a single steeple. In the present, here it serves the priest Constantin Belu.

The church from Cosesti awas build on the time of ruler Alexandru Ghica and it was finished on 15 september 1842. The church is placed in the middle of the vilage, on a land donated by the locals. It has the form of a cross, with a single steeple. The actual priest is Iulian Stejar, which follows to his father Alexandru Stejar.

The church from Leicesti is situated in the middle of the village, at the left of the Doamnei river. It was build in 1868 by locals, with the help of Ioan C. Paltineanu, priest Nicolae and Stoica Popescu. The church is build from river boulders and bricks, and the roof is covered in metal sheets. Next to the church is a stone cross from 1807. From the year 1990, the priest Giura Marian serves in this church.

The church from Pacioiu is placed in the center of the village, in the left side of the Doamnei river. Preceding the actual construction, a little wooden church was build in this place. The actual chuch was build in 1850. The church has 3 octagonal steeples, and inside are found the graves of the builders. The painting, made in tempera, has an unknown author. In the present, the priest Florin Pupea is to be found in this church.
